PAST EVENTS

In November of 2019, WITH HER created a series of events, when we were moved to act towards building awareness of domestic violence and sex trafficking of women and girls, in honour of Jasmine Lovett and Aliyah Sanderson. Our dedicated volunteer committees planned a week of educational, meaningful, and engaging events.

We would like to thank those committee members, Dana Burrows, Rebecca Como, Bonnie Blankert, Marg Michaud, Christie Peters, and Laura Downing, along with Laura Hambley Lovett, Krista Hermanson, Karen Conway, and Natalie Heffernan, whose commitment ensured the success of all these events.

WITH HER hosted an impactful evening to raise awareness among corporate professionals in Calgary about the horrific presence of sex trafficking in our own community. Conroy Kanter, producer of the film “TRAFFICKED”, delivered a powerful keynote address at the event. This SOLD-OUT event was held at the top of the prestigious Bow Building and raised significant funds for the RESET Society of Calgary.

TRAFFICKED FILM SCREENINGS - NOVEMBER 13 - 15, 2019

Four film screenings were held from November 13-15, 2019, at various locations in Calgary including the Plaza Theatre, University of Calgary, Canyon Meadows Theatre, and for the Calgary Police Service. The screenings successfully raised awareness among a significant number of Calgarians. Question and answer sessions were led by “TRAFFICKED” producer Conroy Kanter, distinguished actor Patrick Duffy, and leading experts from the RESET Society of Calgary. Proceeds from these events benefited the RESET Society of Calgary.
