HISTORY
In April 2019, Jasmine Lovett and her 22-month old daughter, Aliyah Sanderson, were murdered. Shortly thereafter, Jasmine’s boyfriend was arrested and later charged with double homicide.
In honour of Jasmine and Aliyah we hosted an inaugural WITH HER event in November, 2019, with an expert panel and speakers on the early warning signs of predators and abusers. The event drew 300 guests and raised significant funds for the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter and Homefront.
Then the pandemic hit and our efforts paused, yet the problem of violence against women and girls kept growing. Fast forward to 2024: we have re-launched WITH HER as a movement that will continue to raise awareness and funds for charities that are focused on ending all forms of violence against women and girls.
